About Jaybird - Founded on a Simple Wish
In 2005, when founder, Judd Armstrong, wanted to swim while listening to music he started looking into design possibilities by gathering experts in mechanical and electrical design. Things got serious in 2006 with the formation of JayBird Gear LLC. Concepts ran freely and evolved into meeting a slightly different need, the need for tiny wireless earbuds for above-water sports and fitness activities.
And so was born the JB200 Freedom Bluetooth headphones late 2007, meeting a great need for active people looking to cut the cord.
The water tight construction of the JB200 Freedom Bluetooth headphones hints at the heritage of the initial design stage originally intended for underwater use, and supports JayBird's position with it's Lifetime Warranty Against Sweat.
Now and into the Future
JayBird has since added other great sports audio products to it's lineup including the Tiger Eyes earbuds, Endorphin Rush Earphones, the iconic Sportsband Bluetooth Headphones, the iSport and uSport Bluetooth Adapters, JayBird BluTrax! application for iPhone, and several more products in the works as of mid-2010.
